Auxiliary Dues Increase

Ladies Auxiliary annual dues will increase from $20.00 to $21.50 effective January 1, 2012. Dues have been raised because the National Headquarters of the Ladies Auxiliary has increased the amount of money that each auxiliary must pay to them per member annually by $1.50. If you pay your annual dues by December 15, 2011 (so we can process it by December 31), the fee is $20; beginning January 1, 2012, dues will be $21.50; so please send in your dues now.

Post Wins Award for Community Service

Lititz Springs VFW Post 1463 won first place in the Department of PA Community Service Record Book Contest for 2011. Three volumes which included volunteer hours and donations for 2010-2011 were presented for judging April 1. This is 14th time Post 1463 has won this award.

Since 1990, the post has donated more than $219,000 to local fire companies, while also supporting an ambulance service, the local police department and the DARE program." The Post was further mentioned in the publication showing a photo of our Christmas visit to veterans at Luther Acres.
