Commander's Message:
Membership
is at 100% plus and we achieved that goal by January 31st. Many members
from other posts transferred to Post 1463 because they know we have
one of the best posts in Lancaster County. We can be proud to be part
of a team of energetic people who are always willing to go the extra
mile in order to accomplish the goals of the VFW

President’s Message:
Regretfully
I write this last message as I no longer hold the office of President
of our Post 1463 Canteen. I assumed this office for the 2008-2009 term
and over the years have been involved with many problems, the worst of
which was the Small Games of Chance. I truly enjoyed working for all
of you and insuring things were done in the proper VFW manner. . . .

Annie's
Corner:
Happy Springtime!!!
As most of you know, we finally got our Small Games of Chance bill updated
to a reasonable amount. It was a long two years that we had to abide
by the old rules, but we are all excited about having the bigger games
back and being busy again! We are allowed to have the book on Mondays
now along with the Monday Madness. Because of that we have gone back
to our old hours on Mondays . . .(more...)
From The Office:
There are a limited
number of patron membership openings for all non-military individuals.
The remaining few will not last very long. Words of caution for all that
bring guests into our club. As long as there are openings, your guest
MUST JOIN after 2 visits. In the past, membership was usually closed
in January and the 2 visit per guest rule was waived. That is not the
case this year. You can not continue to bring guests in while there are
openings for patron members. .

Ladies Auxiliary
Message:
We do
not always think about it or mention it, but our Lititz Springs
Ladies Auxiliary
is part of a huge organization! In 2011, national membership was more
than 542,000 women. Our own auxiliary membership grew as we welcomed
more than 20 new and reinstated members in 2010 and 2011. Each new member
brings fresh ideas, talent and strength to our auxiliary. As the national
membership grows, we gain power to guide legislation affecting veterans’ rights
and benefits.

Activity
Committee:
The Activity
Committee wants to thank everybody for their continued support
with our Bingo every Thursday night, and of course with the meat trays
(chances are sold at the bar every day).
We will be having another Mystery Bus Trip on May 19 leaving the VFW at 7:30
in the morning and returning at 9:00 in the evening. The cost of this trip will
be $35.00 which includes the bus fee and entry into somewhere. . . . (more...)
