VFW AND AUXILIARY ANNOUNCE VOICE OF DEMOCRACY SCHOLARSHIP

ESSAY CONTEST

Local high school students have the opportunity to compete for thousands of dollars in scholarships and a trip to Washington, D.C. by competing in the Voice of Democracy Scholarship essay contest.

Students must write and record a three-to-five minute essay on this year’s theme: “My Vision For American” on an audio CD or flash drive and present their recording with the typed essay and entry form to Lititz Springs VFW Post 1463 BY November 1, 2017.

Prizes and/or scholarships can be awarded at Post, district, state and national levels. State winners receive an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. to tour the city and be honored by the VFW and Auxiliary.  Winners receive their portion of the national awards with a top scholarship of $30,000.
