From The Office:

Thanks to everyone who renewed their 2012 dues before the cutoff date. For those who did not renew, your membership number has been assigned to a new patron member. Former patron members who choose to renew their membership after January 1, 2012 must begin by applying for a new membership. Dues for former members are $30. Twenty ($20) for membership and ten ($10) for a new key card. Membership is not guaranteed but based on availability.

Attention all Post 1463 active members!
At the March 1, 2012 Post 1463 Corporation meeting you are invited to participate in the nomination and election of officers for the Board of Governors. The Board of Governors is responsible for the daily operation of our business. All eight (8) offices are open for your consideration. If you have the time to help operate the business, here is your chance to help. This past year there was a variety of comments made by all membership classes as to what is wrong with our club. If you are an active member this is your chance do something about it. Submit your name for nomination to hold an office. Get elected and help run the post.

In addition at the March 1, 2012 post meeting nominations for post officers will be accepted. At the April 5, 2012 post meeting nominations for post officers will be repeated followed by the election. This is your chance to participate with the decisions that affect the operation of your post.

All that is asked, if you choose to become an officer, is that you are willing to devote your time, talents and energy to the office you are elected to.

One more item before I finish. Please thank all the members of our Activity Club, Ladies Auxiliary and others who donate so much of their time decorating our club for the many holidays we celebrate. We are fortunate to have so many people willing to work together making things nice for all of us to enjoy.

Also for the New Year thank your bar servers and kitchen personal. They too devote a lot of time making this a successful VFW post.
